the curved balconies

Eight-Story Residential Building - Hilton - Kaisariani

The project takes advantage of the geometric shape and characteristics of the corner plot, creating a dynamic composition that blends harmoniously into the urban fabric. The curved corner balconies highlight the unique position of the building, while large openings and recesses in the façades ensure abundant natural light, ventilation, and uninterrupted views of Athens and Lycabettus Hill.

The vertical development of the apartments is based on two lateral closed volumes that maintain continuity with the neighboring buildings on Drakontos and Eurydikis streets. At the same time, the façade recesses create balconies, connecting the interior with the exterior spaces. The central staircase, an independent core, is located at the rear, providing easy access to all levels.

The top floors—penthouses—are differentiated by gradual setbacks, emphasizing the spacious balconies and the panoramic views of the apartments. On the ground floor, the pilotis accommodates parking spaces, while the uncovered area is landscaped with appropriate shrub planting.

The design balances functionality and aesthetics, offering future residents modern, flexible homes that harmonize with the urban landscape of Athens.
